Our Charleston yard isn't very large, but thoughtful landscaping and a few strategic design decisions completely changed how it feels. Our crown molding left almost no room to hang traditional curtain rods, so we created our own ceiling-mounted version using copper plumbing pipe. It was inexpensive, surprisingly simple, and ended up making our 8-foot ceilings and windows feel taller.
